PRC Housing Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must:

Live in Lucas County
-
Have a minor child in home and/or be pregnant
-
Fall into one of these categories:
-
20 hours of work per week for at least two weeks
-
SSI recipient (applicant only)
-
Be in training
-
Be on a medical leave under 30 days
-
-
Be facing an active eviction

PRC Required Documentation
-
Applicant's photo ID
-
Proof of all minor child(ren) in the home and/or proof of pregnancy (JFS printout, school record, medical record, etc.)

Applicant's proof of citizenship (birth certificate, passport, etc.)
-
Current lease agreement or mortgage statement in applicant's name
-
Copy of Subsidized Housing Assistance (HUD/Section 8, etc.-- if applicable)

Written statement from landlord or mortgage lender
-
A template will be provided
-

Proof of eviction notice or foreclosure notice
-
Proof of all income received by household members 30 days prior to the date of the application.

The applicant must:
-
send pay stubs (minimum of 20 hours per week) OR
-
verify participation in training (school, trade program, etc.) OR
-
verify SSI income OR
-
verify being on medical leave (or maternity/paternity leave) 30 days or less.

If delinquent amount exceeds $1,600, applicant/landlord must provide written documentation that the difference was paid and that the amount was received by the landlord.

Applications typically take 10-30 days to process. It depends how quickly tenants send needed documents.
Can I get an update on my application?

All applications are processed in the order they were received. Please allow up to 10 days for an initial response.
I have an eviction hearing in the next 72 hours. Can you help me?

We are not an emergency housing service and do not have the power or authority to stop evictions. For fastest processing, please submit all verifications at the time of the application.
I am homeless and need assistance. Can you help me?

This program covers rent due during an eviction. Please contact 211 for help.
I am behind on several month’s rent and late fees. Can you help?

This fund will cover rent up to $1,600. Any balance of late fees or additional unpaid rent must be paid prior to receiving assistance through this fund.
