The Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio (HCNO) is a regional hospital association that represents and advocates for its Voting, Affiliate and Associate members. Northwest Ohio Shared Services, which was separately incorporated in 1978, is the regional marketing arm for a national group purchasing organization.

HCNO’s community services include community health assessments, clergy badges, and planning and evaluation services; regional programs include the Northwest Ohio Pathways HUBNorthwest Ohio Disaster Preparedness, advance care planning and the Northwest Ohio Regional Trauma Registry.

Additionally, HCNO coordinates Fostering Healthy Communities, a collaboration among Mercy Health, ProMedica and the University of Toledo Medical Center.
