MISSION
To enhance the effectiveness of the trauma care delivery system through data analysis and evaluation.
FUNCTION
NORTR will provide timely clinical outcome and demographic data to the Department of Public Safety’s trauma database. Also, the data will be used by the providers of trauma care in developing and implementing strategies to reduce the incidence of trauma injury in Northwest Ohio. The data will be used as a base to provide peer review for the providers of trauma care in Northwest Ohio.
The Registry will work to raise awareness and understanding of the effects of traumatic injury and support research efforts studying the causes, prevention and treatment of traumatic injury.
