Mission Statement
The Foundation serves as a catalyst to assist members in assuming leadership roles in community health status improvement by providing information services, technical assistance; and promoting and advancing collaborative efforts between communities, hospitals, health systems and other health and human service organizations.
Lucas County members of the Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio—University of Toledo Medical Center, Mercy, ProMedica Health System, and St. Luke’s Hospital—work together through the Lucas County Healthy Communities Foundation to further community health improvement with a focus on measurable outcomes. Through the Foundation more than half a million dollars has been committed to a variety of community-based activities that have led to improved health and quality of
life in Lucas County.
